Community Involvement
Community, by definition, is a group of people who share a common culture, values, and norms in a social structure according to relationships that have developed between them over a period of time.
The staff at BES recognizes the importance of community in our personal and professional lives. We serve on school task forces, school improvement councils, curriculum advisory committees, and facilities task force committees. Some of the organizations, committees, and events we support or serve, include:

- Habitat for Humanity
- Eastern Shores Chamber of Commerce
- Coast Chamber of Commerce
- Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce
- Lady's Island Business Professionals Association
- Lowcountry Young Professionals
- Beaufort Arts Association
- Boy Scouts of America
